Lexifind Help:
Lexulous

Lexulous is a game having a number of similarities to Scrabble ®. The main differences are as follows:

  • While tiles are available, players draw tiles sufficient to place eight letters on their racks prior to each play, instead of the seven letters used for Scrabble ®
  • The point values of the various letters are different than in Scrabble ®
  • The frequency distribution of the letters (i.e., the total number of tiles provided for each letter) is different than in Scrabble ®
  • The bonus squares, (double- and triple- letter and word scores), are positioned on the board in different locations than in Scrabble ®

Since Lexifind is a general purpose word search site, it can find words for Lexulous just as easily as it can find words for Scrabble. None of the differences listed above has any effect upon how Lexifind will be used to search for words. The fact that Lexulous makes eight tiles available for each play rather than seven simply requires that you enter eight letters instead of seven in the Rack Letters: field of Lexifind's Make Words column.

When playing Lexulous, you can use the same TWL word list (for North American play) and SOWPODS word list (for English language play in other locations) on Lexifind as you would select for Scrabble ®.

Therefore, we refer you to the regular Scrabble Help Pages for a discussion of how to use Lexifind to find words for Lexulous. Just keep in mind that the positioning of the bonus squares will be somewhat different on the Lexulous board than is shown in Lexifind's diagrams explaining how to find words for Scrabble ®.
