Lexifind Help:
Alfapet

Alfapet is a game having many similarities to Scrabble. The main differences are as follows:

  • The game board has 17x17 squares instead of 15x15. As a result, the maximum word size for Alfapet is 17 rather than 15
  • The game board includes a different set of bonus squares, including those that award quadruple points and those that reduce the score rather than increase it
  • There are 120 letters available to be drawn and played, instead of the 100 letters available in Scrabble, and the letters are distributed somewhat differently.

In most other respects, Alfapet is the same as Scrabble.

There is, however, one problem: Alfapet is played with a Swedish list of words - specifically, the word list of the Swedish Academy, or SAOL. At the present time, Lexifind supports only English-language lists. Foreign languages may be added in the future, but for now, we are sorry to report that Lexifind cannot be used to search for the Swedish words required by Alfapet.
